We started Unit 8 today in Everyday Math. Our lesson was about Congruent and Non-Congruent Shapes. Students used straws and twist ties to create Congruent shapes. Hands-on activities are always fun, and at the same time challenge students to apply what they know about shapes in a new way. You can see from the photos that they were very into creating their shapes.
