On Friday, we began our new unit of study in Everyday Math 6 , which focuses on Geometry. When checking the results of our CDT and GMADE testing, I noticed that our students were struggling with some basic Geometry skills. One of the areas was identifying angles. Since EM suggested reviewing the 4 types of angles, I took it a bit further and had them draw each type, define it, and find examples of each angle in the classroom. We then stapled the completed foldable into our Math journals. The activity allowed the students to practice using a protractor, identify angles, and apply their work to everyday objects.
This foldable was inspired by a foldable at Runde's Room .
