Candy Corn Estimation Winner

Congratulations to our winner of the Open House Candy Corn Estimation prize!  There were 295 pieces of candy corn in the jar.  Three students guessed 300.  After a drawing, our winner was chosen.  Way to go!

Classroom 2012

Welcome to our classroom!  This is a view from my desk area.  The desks are set up in teams to facilitate the use of cooperative learning in our Reading Edge and Everyday Math Classes.

Each team is assigned a number.  I used CTP's Dots on Black as our theme.  These are the large dots with Dots on Black numbers attached.

This is the view from the opposite corner.  I used the fabric pictured below to create another curtain the bookshelf in the back.  I like to soften as many corners as possible in the classroom to give it a homey feel.

This is our general announcement board.  I will use the CTP  Poppin Patterns Mini Charts to anchor the menu and other important announcements.

This view shows the Math Word Wall and part of our number line.  That's the bookcase the runner I made will top and cover.

Thanks for stopping by!
