This week we will begin working on Everyday Math Unit 5: Geometry: Congruence, Constructions, and Parallel Lines. According to our recent scores on the Classroom Diagnostic Tool (CDT) our students struggle with basic geometry concepts. Please encourage your child to complete homework assignments nightly to reinforce what is being taught at school, as well as encourage him/her to complete some of the suggested online activities below to increase his/her understanding.
The Parent Letter provides an excellent explanation of what our goals are for Unit 5, as well as provides an answer key for the Study Links. Please use it to check your child's understanding of the assignments and concepts being taught. Also, Do Anytime Activities reinforce what is being taught in school.
