Best Wishes to Miss Williams!

On March 13th, 2020, we said our good-byes and offered well wishes to our IUP student teacher, Miss Williams.  We made her a fingerprint tree, a book of advice for teachers and shared cookies in celebration.  We wish her all the best.  We will miss sharing our days with her in Room 22.

Miss Taylor--Student Teacher

Today, Miss Taylor completed her first student teaching placement in our classroom.  She has been with us since the first day of school, and her absence will be noticed.

We had a small, going away party for her today.  The children made a fingerprint tree for her.  (That's why their pointer fingers were green! ;0)

We also gave her a card and a few other items.

Miss Summerville's Visit

Miss Summerville just returned from her journey of student teaching in New Zealand and came back to us!  We didn't get to tell her good-bye in February due to the snow days, so we took this chance to give her a "proper" send off into the world of education.  Above, she is sharing a slide show of her time in New Zealand.

Opening her gift basket....

....filled with classroom supplies....

.....a personalized candy jar....

...the book I Knew You Could....

....a print with all of our thumbprints as the leaves, so she never forgets us....

...and All The Places You'll Go by Dr. Seuss.

Our class

We wish Miss Summerville all the best!  Congratulations Miss Summerville on your graduation from
UPJ!  We are proud of you!

Miss Ash is a senior education student from UPJ and has been observing and participating in our class for the last eight weeks of school.  This is a slide show of the lesson she taught today in Social Studies class about Volcanoes.  Miss Ash is also a GJSD graduate and will do her student teaching in January.  We will miss her and wish her all the best!
