Polygons and Plants

Last week, we read the story of Square Cat by Elizabeth Schoonmaker.  Following our reading of the story, we mapped our ideas of what problems we would have if we were square, then wrote our story about our day as a square shaped person.  Below you can see our display of writing on our square people.  This activity was a freebie on TPT.

In Science, we learned the parts of a plant.  Today the students made a diagram of a flower and labeled it appropriately to show their knowledge of the parts of a plant.

Our next unit in Science has us learning more about seeds and plants.  Look for more activities to come!

Thank you for stopping by!
