Announcements for the Week of January 26, 2014

School News

--Report Cards were sent home Friday.  Please sign and return the envelope with your child ASAP.

--Reading Classes will be cancelled Monday and Tuesday to administer the GMADE and GRADE assessment in homeroom.  Please make sure your child is still reading at home nightly.

--We are participating in the Snowflake drive to help support our monthly incentive days.  For 1.00 a snowflake with your child's name is placed on our door.  Your help is appreciated!

What's Happening in Room 23?

 We started the new year by writing our Resolutions for home and school and making Celebration Kid.

 

This is the wall outside our classroom.  Above our celebration kids, we have an All About Me banner that was made with Miss Summerville, our student teacher.

 Here are some of our Super Spelling Tests!

 

In Language Arts, we are working on Explanatory Text.  Students wrote about how to make a snowman, then created a snowman inside a snow globe.

 

We also celebrated the 80th day of School this month!
